About Ninfa
Ninfa Schmidt built the foundations of her legal career at St. Thomas University. She earned a B.A. in Business Administration there and stayed on to complete her J.D. at St. Thomas University School of Law. Those years grounded her in both the practical and procedural sides of law. They also placed her in South Florida’s legal community early on.
She began practicing in the region and is admitted to the Florida bar and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Over time she joined Rubenstein Law as a lawyer. At the firm she handles matters that carry both state and federal procedural elements. Her courtroom work reflects steady involvement in filings and hearings across local and federal dockets.
Beyond casework, Schmidt has been active in professional circles. She holds membership in the Florida Bar Association and the Dade County Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to colleagues and ongoing developments in state law. They also provide a forum for continuing legal education and local practice issues.
Her engagement extends into the community. Since 2006 she has volunteered for the Justice Teaching Program. That long-term involvement indicates sustained interest in outreach to schools and in legal education for younger students. The volunteer role has involved classroom visits and program support aimed at explaining how courts and laws affect everyday life.
Colleagues describe her approach as practical and thorough. She breaks complex procedural questions into manageable steps. She prepares filings carefully and attends to deadlines. That steadiness matters in courts where timing and paperwork can determine whether a client’s position is heard.
At Rubenstein Law, Schmidt works with cases that may require navigation of both state statutes and federal court rules. She appears in matters filed in Florida and in the Southern District of Florida. Her practice combines courtroom preparation, client communication, and motion practice.
She maintains active professional affiliations and a long-running volunteer role in legal education. Current practice at Rubenstein Law centers on representing clients in matters pursued in Florida courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida.
