About Nikie
Nikie Popovich built her legal foundation in Florida. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida in 2006 and a J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2009. Those early years shaped a practitioner comfortable in both courtroom settings and behind-the-scenes legal work.
After law school she joined the Twelfth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida as a staff lawyer in 2009. That role placed her inside court operations and exposed her to the rhythms of docket management, judicial decision-making and procedural practice. She moved into private practice in 2012 as an associate at Pratt & Radford, P.L., where she handled day-to-day client matters and developed experience in litigation practice.
In 2014 she shifted again, stepping into a leadership role as Managing Lawyer at Popovich Law Office, P.A. That year marked the start of a firm she runs and manages. Her professional path has combined courtroom exposure, law office management and client representation over more than a decade.
Popovich is licensed in Florida and is admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She has been a member of The Florida Bar since 2009. Locally, she joined the Orange County Bar Association in 2014 and remained active on bar-related committees. Between 2014 and 2017 she served as an alumni barrister with the George C. Young American Inn of Court. She also participated on the Orange County Bar Association Solo and Small Firm Committee alumni board from 2017 to 2018, and she was a member of the Central Florida Association for Women Lawyers from 2014 until 2022.
Colleagues describe her as steady under pressure. Her background in a judicial setting informs how she prepares for hearings and trials. Running a small firm has also required attention to administrative detail and client communication. She has experience shepherding matters through both state and federal court systems in Florida.
She maintains a practice based in Popovich Law Office, P.A., where she manages casework and oversees the office’s operations. Her work continues to involve filings and proceedings in Florida state courts as well as in federal courts in the Middle District of Florida and the Eleventh Circuit.
