About Nikeyla
Nikeyla Johnson combines a liberal arts foundation with legal training. She earned a B.A. in Psychology and Pre-Med from Spelman College in 1997, then turned to law and received her J.D. from Texas Southern University Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2005. Those years gave her both the analytical tools and a patient, methodical approach to client work.
Her legal career in Texas began soon after law school. She joined Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP as an associate in 2008, where she worked on matters that required attention to detail and careful case preparation. In the same year she became a member of the State Bar of Texas. A few years later she took the next step and opened her own practice.
In 2011 she established Johnson Law Office and has served as lawyer and owner since then. Running a small practice meant she handled a mix of responsibilities: casework, client intake, courtroom appearances and the day-to-day management of an office. That combination shaped how she approaches legal matters—practical, client-centered and procedural.
Colleagues and clients have seen her handle matters that require steady legal judgment. She is licensed to practice in Texas and has maintained her professional standing through the State Bar of Texas. Her background in psychology informs how she communicates with clients and assesses the human aspects of a case. Her law school education grounded her in procedural rules and legal research, while early experience at a larger firm exposed her to team-based litigation and transactional processes.
Her office work over the years has covered litigation preparation, client counseling and negotiation. She has represented individuals and small businesses, managing files from intake to resolution. Running Johnson Law Office means she often serves as the primary contact for clients, briefing them on strategy, handling filings and arguing motions when necessary.
Today she continues to practice in Texas, balancing the responsibilities of firm ownership with casework. Her practice focuses on providing legal representation and counsel to individuals and businesses in matters that arise under Texas law.
