About Nick

Nick Hanek entered law through a practical path. He studied history and related fields as an undergraduate before moving to law school. He took to the work of law school quietly, and he finished his formal legal education in the mid-2000s.

He earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Akron School of Law in 2005. Earlier, he attended Case Western Reserve University, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts. Those academic years shaped his approach: careful analysis, plain language and attention to procedural detail.

After law school he licensed to practice in Ohio. Much of his professional activity has been concentrated in the state’s courts and administrative forums. He has navigated filings, hearings and the everyday tasks that keep cases moving. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing records and clear in courtroom explanations.

Hanek’s work has required an even hand. He balances written advocacy and oral argument. He spends time on pleadings and motions, but also on client meetings and case strategy. That balance keeps cases from getting stuck and helps clients understand what comes next. He is known for breaking complex procedural problems into simpler steps.

Over the years he has kept up with changes in Ohio practice rules and local court procedures. He attends continuing legal education and follows developments that affect litigation calendars and motion practice. Outside of hearings, he focuses on drafting evidence summaries and court-ready submissions.

Today Hanek maintains his practice in Ohio and remains active in matters brought before the state’s courts and agencies. His current practice focuses on representing clients in proceedings and filings within Ohio’s legal system.
