About Nick

Nick Chotos built his legal foundation at two Florida institutions. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Florida State University in 2011 and completed his juris doctor at St. Thomas University in 2014. Those years set the stage for a career spent practicing in his home state.

Straight out of law school he joined Hanlon Law. Over the years he has worked across several of the firm’s Florida offices, including locations in Bradenton, St. Petersburg, Sarasota and Tampa. Colleagues describe him as steady and practical in the way he approaches client matters. He has moved through the firm's ranks while taking on increasingly complex responsibilities.

His early docket included routine courtroom appearances and client counseling. He has handled filings, hearings and negotiations for clients across the region. Sources at the firm say he pays attention to procedural detail and treats case management as a priority. He is often the lawyer who keeps a file organized and a calendar on track.

Chotos’s days are a mix of client meetings, court preparation and law office practice. He spends time drafting pleadings, responding to discovery and preparing witnesses. He also participates in internal strategy sessions and works with support staff to prepare cases for trial when necessary. Those tasks form much of his day-to-day work at the firm.

Outside of the courtroom routine, he has taken on matters that require coordination among specialists and outside experts. He has experience working with investigators, consultants and other attorneys to assemble evidence and prepare legal arguments. That collaborative work regularly shapes how he approaches each file.

Peers note that Chotos values clear communication. He aims to explain legal issues in direct terms and keep clients informed about next steps. He prefers practical solutions when they are available, and he prepares clients for the realities of litigation when they are not.

In recent years he has remained in Florida, practicing through Hanlon Law’s network of offices. He maintains ties to local courts and practitioners across the communities where the firm is active. He is an attorney who continues to handle matters at the trial and pretrial levels on behalf of clients.

He practices law at Hanlon Law, representing clients across Florida.
