About Nicholas P.
Nicholas P. Weiss earned a B.A. in International Relations from The College of Wooster in 2009 and completed his J.D. at Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 2013, where he studied international law. Those academic years framed an early interest in cross-border issues and regulatory detail, and they coincided with practical work that would shape his approach to client service.
He began his legal work while still in law school. In 2011 he served as a law clerk at Turk and Associates, LLC, and the following year he interned at the Milton A. Kramer Law Clinic. After passing the bar, he joined Fanger and Associates, LLC as an associate in 2013. That role introduced him to courtroom practice and client counseling in day-to-day dispute resolution.
In 2016 he moved from a traditional firm environment into an in-house setting as manager and legal counsel at Sterling Jewlers. The position required a mix of contract review, vendor negotiations, and compliance oversight. A year later he returned to private practice as a litigation lawyer at The Gertsburg Law Office, where he handled contested matters and courtroom advocacy.
In 2020 he founded N.P. Weiss Law. He leads the firm as its principal attorney and handles a range of matters that draw on his litigation background and corporate counsel experience. His membership in professional organizations traces the arc of his career: he has been a member of the State Bar of Ohio, the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, and the Ohio State Bar Association since 2013, and he joined the Warrensville Heights Chamber of Commerce in 2017. In 2019 he became a member of the Ohio Cannabis and Hemp Chamber of Commerce, reflecting an engagement with emerging state regulatory issues.
Nicholas Weiss is licensed to practice law in Ohio and maintains active bar standing. His background blends courtroom work, in-house contract and compliance tasks, and small-firm practice. He describes his practice through practical problem solving rather than doctrinal theory, and he tends to weigh legal strategy against client business needs.
He continues to operate N.P. Weiss Law in Ohio, where his practice focuses on litigation, business-related legal work, and matters involving Ohio cannabis and hemp law.
