About Nicholas

Nicholas Chlebowski trained at Drake University Law School, earning his J.D. in 2006 after several years of study there. He came through a traditional law school route and entered practice in the mid-2000s, a period that coincided with rapid shifts in business and technology law.

His earliest recorded in-house role was as corporate counsel at Capital, Technology & Leasing, L.L.C. in 2007. That position placed him inside a company environment, handling transactional work and the day-to-day legal issues that arise in businesses that combine finance, technology and asset management. It was an early grounding in contracts, vendor relationships, and the sorts of compliance and commercial questions that often shape later practice areas.

By 2013 he established Chlebowski Law LLC and began practicing under his own firm name. Over the years at his firm he has handled an array of matters for business clients. The practice has often intersected with commercial transactions, contract drafting and negotiation, and counseling for small and mid-sized companies. He has represented clients on matters that draw on his in-house experience, providing practical advice that aims to resolve disputes and structure deals in a way that anticipates operational needs.

Chlebowski is licensed to practice in Missouri and maintains membership in the Missouri Bar Association. His background bridges both the internal perspective of corporate counsel and the external role of private attorney advising clients. That combination informs how he approaches legal problems: practical, detail-oriented, and attentive to how legal language translates into business outcomes.

Colleagues and clients report that he takes a measured approach to legal strategy. He tends to break complex agreements into their operational pieces and address risk where it intersects with business priorities. His familiarity with technology-related commercial arrangements and leasing transactions traces back to his time in-house and has continued to surface in the matters he accepts at his firm.

Outside of client work he has remained active in bar membership and professional networks in Missouri. He continues to handle transactional and advisory matters for company clients, serving as counsel on commercial contracts, corporate governance, and related business law issues. He currently concentrates his practice on business and corporate matters, including technology- and leasing-related transactions and general counsel services for small and mid-sized businesses.
