About Neubia
Neubia Harris trained at Wake Forest University School of Law after completing her undergraduate studies in communication at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Her legal education was grounded in traditional coursework and clinics that prepare graduates for courtroom and client work. The combination of a law degree and a communication studies background has been a persistent theme in her approach to practice.
She entered the legal workforce in the early 2010s. In 2011 she joined Legal Aid of North Carolina, Inc. as a staff lawyer. That role placed her inside a public interest setting, where she handled matters on behalf of clients who otherwise might lack access to legal services. The experience offered steady exposure to litigation, client counseling and the practical realities of representing people with limited resources.
In 2018 she launched a private practice, founding The Law Office of Neubia L. Harris, PLLC. Building a solo practice required shifting from an institutional setting to managing a small firm. She took on responsibilities beyond client work, including office operations and case intake. The firm serves clients in North Carolina and is organized under the name she established.
Harris maintains active memberships in professional organizations that intersect with both family and general practice issues. She has been a member of the Council of Parent Lawyers and Advocates since 2017. She joined the North Carolina Bar Association in 2015 and has also been associated with Capital City Lawyers since 2014. These affiliations provide regular opportunities for continuing education and peer engagement.
Her career reflects a mix of public interest and private practice. The early years at Legal Aid exposed her to high-volume client work and systemic challenges. Running her own office added the day-to-day demands of a small firm lawyer. Colleagues describe her as practical in approach and attentive to client communication, a trait that she attributes to her undergraduate training in communication studies.
She is licensed through the North Carolina Board of Bar Examiners and practices in North Carolina. Her current practice focuses on representing clients through The Law Office of Neubia L. Harris, PLLC, serving matters within the state of North Carolina.
