About Neil Stephen
Neil Stephen Dornbaum is a partner at Connell Foley LLP in Roseland, New Jersey — He co-chairs the firm’s Corporate Immigration and Global Mobility practice. With over 40 years of legal experience, Dornbaum has dedicated his career primarily to employment-based immigration matters. In January 2021, he joined Connell Foley following the firm’s acquisition of his previous practice, Dornbaum & Peregoy LLC. Before his time at Dornbaum & Peregoy, Dornbaum held significant leadership roles within the legal community. He served as the National Chair of the American Bar Association's Immigration Committee under the General Practice Section.
His influence extended to the ABA's Commission on Immigration, where he contributed to shaping immigration policy. Additionally, he chaired the New Jersey State Bar's Immigration Section and the New Jersey Chapter of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), where he was an active member of the Board of Governors. Dornbaum's expertise has made him a vital liaison to various governmental agencies. His commitment to the profession is recognized; he has been recognized in The International Who’s Who of Corporate Immigration Lawyers and The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers since 2002. This recognition highlights his standing as a leader in the field of immigration law.
Dornbaum earned his Bachelor of Arts from Hunter College of the City University of New York in 1978 and his Juris Doctor from Temple University in 1981. He is admitted to practice in New Jersey (1985), Pennsylvania (1981), New York (1982), and before the U.S. Supreme Court (1992). As a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, he continues to be an active participant in the legal community. Since 2002, he has been selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers, further underscoring his expertise and commitment to immigration law.
