About Neil S.
Neil S. Sader built a career that crosses law, public service and local politics. He studied at Columbia University before earning his J.D. from the University of Kansas School of Law. Those early academic steps set the stage for a practice rooted in bankruptcy work and civic involvement.
After law school Sader spent a year on the White House Domestic Policy staff in 1980 and 1981. He later served as a partner at Brown, Nachman & Sader, P.C. beginning in 1986. In 1997 he moved into a managing role at The Sader Law Office, where he has led the firm’s practice since that year.
Sader is admitted to practice in both Missouri and Kansas. He holds board certification in consumer bankruptcy law from the American Board of Certification. That credential accompanies a long record of membership in specialty and local bar groups. He has belonged to the American Bankruptcy Institute since 1986 and joined the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and The Missouri Bar in 1984. He has been part of the Kansas City Bankruptcy Bar Association since 2000 and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2007.
His career also includes a run as a delegate to the 1996 Democratic National Convention. The combination of public service and professional association work has informed the way he approaches cases. He has experience in adversary proceedings, chapter 7 and chapter 13 work, and the practical details of consumer bankruptcy practice.
Colleagues describe Sader as methodical in preparing cases and direct in court. He has balanced trial and negotiating work over decades. He prepares clients for hearings, handles creditor communications and files the necessary petitions and plans. Courtroom appearances, motion practice and client counseling make up regular workdays.
His style is pragmatic. He frames legal options in plain terms and sets expectations early. That approach guides clients through the intake process and the stages of bankruptcy administration. He also maintains ties to the local legal community through continuing memberships and occasional speaking or panel participation.
He currently practices consumer bankruptcy law at The Sader Law Office.
