About Nathaniel O
Nathaniel O Hubley studied philosophy before turning to law. He earned undergraduate degrees from Huntington University and Indiana University–Purdue University at Fort Wayne, completing his B.A. in 2002 after earlier coursework at Huntington in 1999. He went on to receive his J.D. from Valparaiso University in 2006. Those years formed the academic base for a career that has crossed classroom, agency and private practice.
His earliest legal work included a clerkship at the Social Security Administration in 2007. He spent a summer as a law clerk at Hoeppner Wagner & Evans, LLP in 2008, and then joined Miller Murphy, LLP as an attorney in 2009. He taught at Ivy Tech Community College in 2010, bringing practical courtroom and agency experience to students. By 2011 he was practicing with Theisen & Associates, LLC. The sequence shows steady movement between public-sector roles, teaching and firm practice.
Those varied posts gave him exposure to administrative processes and litigation practice. Working for a federal agency provided insight into claims adjudication and benefit appeal procedures. Time at regional firms added civil litigation and client counseling responsibilities. The teaching year at Ivy Tech offered an opportunity to explain concepts plainly and mentor newer entrants to the legal field.
He is licensed to practice in Indiana and maintains professional association membership that began in 2009 and continues to the present. He maintains an office in Fort Wayne and has practiced in that region for much of his career. Colleagues describe him as thorough and steady in his approach to casework; he tends to favor careful preparation over headline-grabbing tactics.
Outside the office he has combined classroom instruction with hands-on practice. That combination shaped his method: detailed preparation, measured court presentations and attention to administrative process. He has balanced client advocacy with the procedural demands of agency and court calendars.
Today he practices from the Fort Wayne Law Office. He concentrates his practice on representing clients in matters arising in Indiana.
