About Nathan L.

Nathan L. Rosenberg trained first as an undergraduate at the Claremont Consortium of Colleges, attending Claremont McKenna College. He went on to earn his J.D. from George Washington University Law School in 1975. Those early academic choices set a course that has kept him working in California courts for many years. He is admitted to practice in California and has maintained a steady presence in the state's family law community.

After law school he entered practice during a period of change in family law. He built a practice that addresses the kinds of disputes that bring couples and parents into the courthouse: custody, visitation, and support issues; division of assets; and related procedural matters. Over the decades he has dealt with the paperwork and the hearings that define family law practice. The work demands attention to both legal detail and the human realities behind each file. He balances those demands in his day-to-day practice.

Rosenberg is a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts. That affiliation places him among practitioners and professionals who study how courts and alternative processes handle disputes involving children. Membership in that organization suggests an interest in the ways courts manage custody evaluations, parenting plans, and dispute-resolution techniques. He has drawn on that community of practice in advising clients and preparing cases for hearing.

His office listing appears under Barrister & Barrister. There, he handles an array of family law matters for individuals at various stages of dispute and resolution. He has worked with parties pursuing negotiated settlements as well as those who require formal adjudication. The practice involves drafting pleadings, preparing evidence, and appearing in court. It also involves counseling clients about the likely procedural path their cases will take and the options available to them.

Colleagues and clients describe him as steady and practical in court settings. He tends to favor clear, direct explanations over ornate legal theory when guiding clients through filings and hearings. That approach reflects years spent handling the routine and the unusual aspects of family law practice.

He continues to practice in California and remains active in professional circles related to family and conciliation courts. He currently practices at Barrister & Barrister, handling family law matters.
