About Nancy

Nancy Pridgen earned her law degree from Vanderbilt University in 2000 after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Auburn University in 1997. She is admitted to practice in both Georgia and Michigan. Her education placed her on a path into law firms and firm leadership roles over the following two decades.

She moved into private practice after an early stint as a senior associate at Alston & Bird LLP in 2005. That role gave her large-firm experience and exposure to complex client matters. In 2010 she joined Carlock, Copeland & Stair LLP as counsel, a step that preceded partnership and membership roles at smaller firms.

In 2011 she became a member of Monnolly Pridgen LLC, and in 2015 she joined Patel Burkhalter Law Group as an employment law partner. The employment law role marked a clear point in her career where workplace-related disputes and counseling occupied a central place in her work. She later served as managing lawyer of Pridgen Law Group in 2018, overseeing daily operations and client matters.

In 2020 she became a founding member of Pridgen Bassett Law, LLC. That move formalized a practice she had been building for years and placed her in a leadership position at a firm bearing her name. Her path shows steady movement from associate-level practice through counsel and membership roles to firm management and founding membership.

Her record includes both firm-side leadership and hands-on legal work. She has handled matters categorized under employment law and has experience in the kinds of client representation common to boutique and regional firms. Colleagues and clients have encountered her in roles that combined casework with administrative and practice-management responsibilities.

Outside of case files, her background reflects the typical mix of law firm practice and firm-building. Her undergraduate and law degrees remain the academic foundation for a career spanning large-firm beginnings and later entrepreneurial practice. She continues to work from the firm she helped establish, advising and representing clients. She currently practices at Pridgen Bassett Law, LLC, where her practice focuses on employment law.
