About Murray
Murray Bristol built his legal foundation at Baylor University, where he earned a B.B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurship in 1988. He went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1992 and undertook additional legal study at Southern Methodist University that same year. Those years shaped a practical approach to law and a readiness to practice in multiple forums.
Early in his career he moved into courtroom and appellate work. He is admitted to practice in Texas and Oklahoma and before several federal appellate courts, including the Fifth Circuit, the Tenth Circuit and the Federal Circuit. That range of admissions allows him to work on matters that cross state lines and to follow cases through federal appeals when necessary.
In 2007 he served as a lawyer with the Dallas Volunteer Lawyer Program. That role placed him in community-focused representation and offered direct client contact on a pro bono basis. It is one of the public-facing entries in a larger career that spans private practice and courtroom appearances.
Bristol is a member of the Dallas Bar Association, where he maintains professional ties and stays engaged with colleagues in the Dallas legal community. Those connections have been a steady part of his professional life in a jurisdiction that frequently presents multi-jurisdictional questions and federal litigation.
He currently practices at Bristol & Dubiel LLP. The firm affiliation places him in a small-firm environment where matters often require coordination across state and federal courts. His admissions to multiple circuit courts support appellate work when cases progress beyond trial courts.
Colleagues describe him as deliberate in his courtroom preparation and direct in client communications. He balances litigation work with attention to procedural detail, particularly when a case moves from a state court record into a federal appellate docket.
Today he continues to handle matters that arise in Texas and Oklahoma and to pursue appellate opportunities in the federal courts where he is admitted. He practices at Bristol & Dubiel LLP and focuses on handling state and federal matters in those jurisdictions.
