About Mr. Peter John
Mr. Peter John Ventura took a direct route into law after completing undergraduate studies. He earned a B.A. from Assumption College and then a J.D. from New England Law | Boston. Those classroom years set the base for a long career in Massachusetts courts.
He opened his own practice in 1985, operating under the name Peter Ventura Lawyer at Law. He has run the office since then. Over decades he has built a practice that centers on courtroom work and case preparation. Running a small firm meant handling many aspects of cases personally. He supervised filings, discovery and appearances, and worked through settlement talks and trials.
Memberships have played a steady role in his professional life. He holds a life membership in the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Lawyers, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Worcester County Bar Association. Those affiliations keep him connected to peers, current legal issues and trial practice developments.
Colleagues describe him as someone who prefers practical problem solving over rhetoric. He has spent much of his career in contested matters where evidence and testimony matter. His work has required managing expert witnesses, preparing witnesses for trial and developing factual records for judges and juries. He has handled the paperwork and courtroom strategy that complex cases demand. He has also balanced casework with the administrative duties of running a law office.
Outside litigation, he has participated in the professional community through the groups that represent trial lawyers and civil litigators. Those memberships have provided resources for continuing legal education and peer review. He has used those programs to stay current on procedural changes and trial techniques.
He remains in active practice. His experience running his own firm since 1985 informs how he handles cases today. He currently concentrates his practice on civil litigation and trial work.
