About Mr Nicholas J.
Nicholas J. Horrigan took a direct route into law. He studied strategic communication at Ohio State University before turning to legal studies at the University of Akron, where he earned his law degree. Those classroom years gave him a foundation in analysis, writing and persuasion that he has relied on throughout his career.
Early in his legal training he served as a clerk to the Honorable Judge Elinore-Marsh Stormer in 2008. The clerkship placed him inside the courthouse day to day. He handled research assignments, drafted memoranda and observed courtroom procedure closely. Working alongside a sitting judge shaped his understanding of judicial decision-making and the rhythms of trial and motion practice.
After law school he moved into private practice. In 2011 he joined DiCaudo & Yoder, LLC as an associate lawyer. That role expanded his responsibilities. He began managing client matters, preparing pleadings and appearing in court under supervision. Colleagues remember him as methodical in his preparation and steady under deadline pressure.
Over time his work has combined litigation tasks with client counseling. The clerkship and early associate work trained him in legal research and in translating complex legal issues into practical next steps for clients. He has handled discovery, motion practice and case strategy, often working as part of a team on contested matters. He approaches each file as a problem to be solved, breaking issues into concrete steps and documenting options for clients.
Horrigan is licensed to practice in Ohio. He has spent his career in the state courts and maintains professional ties locally. His experience spans courtroom settings and office-based client work, providing a mix of advocacy and litigation support.
He currently practices at DiCaudo, Pitchford & Yoder, where he continues to represent clients in matters filed in Ohio courts. His practice is based in Ohio at DiCaudo, Pitchford & Yoder, and he remains active in litigation and case preparation work.
