About Mr. L. David

Mr. L. David McBride earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma in 1986 and returned to the same campus to complete his law degree at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 1993, where he studied estate planning. His academic path links a technical undergraduate training to legal study, a combination that features in his approach to client matters.

He served as an editor of the Oklahoma Law Review while in law school. That editorial role reflected an early interest in careful legal analysis and writing. After earning his J.D., he began practicing law in Oklahoma and has maintained his practice in the state since then.

McBride spent the first years of his career building a practice around estate planning and probate. He handles traditional estate documents such as wills and trusts, and he appears in probate matters when estates require formal administration. Over time his work has broadened to include related transactional and advisory tasks that arise as clients plan for the management and transfer of assets.

His background in electrical engineering shapes how he tackles complex problems. He is comfortable dealing with technical details and structuring plans for clients who own business interests, closely held companies, and other nonstandard assets. Those skills can matter when valuation issues, business succession, or specialized property types appear in an estate plan.

Across decades of work in Oklahoma, McBride has balanced courtroom and office responsibilities. He prepares estate plans and trust instruments, counsels executors and trustees, and handles probate proceedings when they are required. He also advises clients on practical estate administration issues that come up after a death, helping to translate legal requirements into steps that families can follow.

He practices from McBride & Associates, P.C., where he continues to serve private clients and families in estate and probate matters. His current practice concentrates on estate planning, trusts, wills, and probate matters.
