About Mr. Kyle J.
Mr. Kyle J. Shelton earned his law degree from Arizona State University in 2006 after completing undergraduate studies at Northern Arizona University in 2002. He moved from the classroom to courtrooms in both Arizona and California, and later extended his practice to the Federal Circuit. His academic background provided the foundation for a steady climb through several law offices over the next decade and a half.
Shelton began his legal career in private practice and entered roles that steadily increased in responsibility. In 2010 he joined Pite Duncan, LLP as an associate. A year later he took an associate position at The Law Offices of Kevin Koelbel. By 2014 he held two different roles: an associate at Shah and Associates, PLLC and a lawyer position at The Dr. Lawyer. Those experiences exposed him to a range of matters in state and federal settings and broadened his litigation and advisory work.
In 2021 Shelton became a partner at Ronstadt Law, PLLC. The move placed him in a leadership role inside a smaller firm environment, where he balances casework with the administrative and client-service demands that come with partnership. Colleagues and opposing counsel describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in court, traits that shaped his transition into firm leadership.
Shelton is admitted to practice in Arizona and California and is also admitted before the Federal Circuit. He has handled matters in both state and federal tribunals. Over the years he has worked on cases that required familiarity with appellate procedures and federal filings. He approaches litigation with attention to procedural detail and to the deadlines that shape outcomes at trial and on appeal.
His career path shows steady movement from associate roles toward management of matters and people. The sequence of positions — Pite Duncan, The Law Offices of Kevin Koelbel, Shah and Associates, The Dr. Lawyer, and now Ronstadt Law — maps a trajectory from junior associate to partner. Each stop added to his courtroom experience and to his understanding of case strategy, client counseling, and file management.
He practices from Ronstadt Law, PLLC and continues to represent clients in matters that arise in both state and federal courts. He currently practices at Ronstadt Law, PLLC, handling matters in state and federal courts.
