About Morgan B.
Morgan B. Brading earned her law degree from Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2019 after completing undergraduate studies at Carthage College. Her time in law school overlapped a period of significant change in the legal profession, and she graduated into a busy market. The J.D. credential marks the start of her legal practice and a move into Indiana’s bar community.
She began her professional career in private practice and is now an associate lawyer at Harshman Ponist Smith & Rayl, LLC. In that role she works alongside more senior attorneys, taking on research and drafting assignments, preparing pleadings, and assisting in client meetings. Her daily tasks include legal research, preparing motions, drafting agreements and discovery, and supporting trial preparation when cases proceed toward litigation. Colleagues describe her as methodical in her approach to facts and careful in her writing.
Her experience at the firm has given her exposure to a range of matters handled by the office. She spends time in file review and client counseling, and she participates in courtroom appearances when the situation requires. That variety has sharpened practical skills: clear explanation of legal issues to clients, efficient case management, and steady courtroom poise when appearances are necessary. She has also taken part in settlement negotiations and the procedural stages that precede trial.
Outside of casework she has kept ties to legal education and to the professional networks that help new lawyers adapt to practice. The discipline of law school and the demands of the firm have shaped a pragmatic style. She approaches each matter by laying out the relevant facts, mapping the procedural path, and identifying practical options for clients.
As an Indiana-licensed attorney, she practices at Harshman Ponist Smith & Rayl, LLC, where she continues to build her practice through client representation, case preparation and courtroom work. She currently practices law in Indiana at Harshman Ponist Smith & Rayl, LLC, handling a variety of matters for clients in the state.
