About Monte E.
Monte E. Kuligowski trained at Regent University School of Law before beginning a career that has kept him in Virginia courtrooms for decades. He joined the Virginia State Bar in 1997 and moved quickly into roles that involved courtroom work and case management. Early on he took on leadership responsibilities at the Legal Defense Center, starting there the same year his bar membership began.
Over the years Kuligowski shifted between institutional roles and independent practice. He served as a principal lawyer at the Legal Defense Center in 1997, later worked as a senior litigation lawyer at Hampton Injury Law, PLC in 2023, and in 2024 established Monte E. Kuligowski, P.C. Those shifts track a steady emphasis on litigation and trial practice. Colleagues describe him as a lawyer who prefers the details of case work: drafting pleadings, preparing witnesses and arguing in front of judges and juries.
He is admitted in Virginia and before the Virginia Supreme Court. He also holds admission to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court. Memberships include the Hampton Bar Association and the Virginia Trial Lawyers Association, alongside long-standing membership in the Virginia State Bar from 1997 to the present. That mix of local bar involvement and broader admissions has given him experience across different levels of the court system. He has handled a range of civil litigation matters and has spent substantial time in pretrial motion practice and trial settings.
Today he operates Monte E. Kuligowski, P.C. The firm bears his name and concentrates on civil litigation. He continues to handle personal injury matters and other trial-related work, offering clients hands-on courtroom representation. His current practice centers on representing individuals in contested civil disputes and pursuing resolution through trial when necessary.
