About Monica Miguel
Monica Miguel Cabrera built her legal foundation at Florida International University, where she earned a B.B.A. in Finance in 2002. She continued her studies at the University of Miami School of Law and received her J.D. in 2005. Those years set the stage for a career that moves between transactional work and dispute resolution.
She entered private practice soon after law school. In 2006 she was listed as Lawyer/President at Del Villar & Miguel, P.A., an early leadership role that introduced her to firm management and client-facing responsibilities. She later worked as a title resolution lawyer at Ben-Ezra & Katz, P.A. in 2010. That experience led to a series of short-term positions in 2011, including roles at Spear & Hoffman and as a lawyer and consultant with Gables Legal Group.
In 2012 she served as Managing Lawyer for Title and First Legal at Morales Law Group. The next year she formed her own firm, Monica Miguel Cabrera, P.A., where she is listed as Lawyer/President beginning in 2013. The sequence traces a path from associate roles to management and then to private practice ownership. It also reflects repeated involvement in title matters and transactional detail.
Cabrera is a Florida lawyer and she holds certification as a Family Mediator from the Florida Supreme Court. That credential signals formal training in mediated dispute resolution, and she has combined mediation work with title and real estate matters during her career. Her professional memberships include the Florida Association for Women Lawyers, where she has been active since 2018. She also served in a leadership capacity with the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals as a co-chair from 2016 to 2017, and she held membership in AREC from 2015 to 2016.
Her practice history shows repeated work on title resolution, real estate transactions, and mediation. The roles she has held—title resolution lawyer, managing lawyer for title services, and principal of her own firm—reflect that mix. She has moved between law firms and in-house title roles before settling into her own practice.
Today she operates Monica Miguel Cabrera, P.A., where she handles matters that include real estate title issues and family mediation. Her current practice blends transactional title work and alternative dispute resolution in Florida.
