About Mitchell S.

Mitchell S. Bisson entered the study of law after an undergraduate degree in criminology and criminal justice. He earned a B.S. from the University of South Carolina in 2003 and completed his J.D. at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2007. Those years set the foundation for a career spent across state and federal courtrooms.

Early in his career Bisson moved into practice and, by 2010, held the role of managing lawyer at Callister & Associates. The title reflected responsibility for casework and day-to-day firm operations. It also placed him in a position to shape how the firm handled litigation and client matters during that period.

Bisson is admitted to practice in Nevada and Michigan and is also admitted to the Federal Circuit. He has maintained practice ties to those jurisdictions throughout his career. That multi-jurisdictional standing has allowed him to address matters that cross state lines and to appear in federal appellate forums when appropriate.

His education in criminology and criminal justice informs his legal perspective. The combination of undergraduate study and a law degree gave him both a substantive grounding in criminal justice issues and the legal training necessary for courtroom and appellate work. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation and straightforward in court. He tends to structure arguments around statutory text and precedent and places weight on procedural clarity.

Practice life has been split between litigation tasks and the responsibilities of firm management. As managing lawyer at Callister & Associates, Bisson oversaw filings, client communications and the coordination of defense and appellate strategies. Those duties required balancing immediate courtroom deadlines with longer-term case planning.

Outside of formal titles, his career shows a steady engagement with the rules and procedures that shape litigation in both state and federal settings. He has worked in environments where careful record-keeping and timely appeals matter. The arc of his work reflects steady involvement in cases that require navigation of state court systems and federal appellate processes.

He currently practices at Callister & Associates, where he handles cases in Nevada, Michigan and before the Federal Circuit.
