About Mitchell Matthew

Mitchell Matthew McKinney built the foundation of his legal career in the classroom. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in economics from Mercer University in 1991. He then attended the University of Alabama School of Law, completing his Juris Doctor in 1998. Those years shaped his understanding of state law and prepared him for practice in multiple jurisdictions.

He was admitted to the Georgia bar in 1998. He also holds admission in Alabama. Since his admission, he has maintained active membership in the Georgia State Bar. His professional path has centered on private practice. He practices under the name Mitch McKinney Law and has spent his career representing clients across matters that arise under state law.

Over the course of his practice he has handled a range of matters that require courtroom presence, negotiation and transactional attention. He works with both individual and business clients. His approach emphasizes direct communication and practical problem solving. He draws on his economics background when advising clients about financial and transactional questions. He combines that perspective with more than two decades of experience practicing in Georgia and Alabama courts and administrative forums.

Today he operates Mitch McKinney Law. He maintains his bar memberships and continues to appear in the state courts where he is licensed. Colleagues know him for steady courtroom work and plainspoken client counsel. He balances litigation and advisory work according to client needs. He currently focuses his practice on matters arising under Georgia and Alabama law.
