About Minji

Minji Kim arrived at law school after a liberal arts education and has since built a practice that spans the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. She earned her J.D. from Brigham Young University J. Reuben Clark Law School after completing a B.A. at Concordia University. Those years of formal study set the groundwork for a career that balances courtroom procedure, administrative work and client counsel.

Her professional path leads to Prosper Law PLLC, where she is employed as a lawyer. In that role she handles matters that require familiarity with the rules and processes of three neighboring jurisdictions. The practice environment at Prosper Law involves both written advocacy and in-person appearances, and her work reflects the procedural demands that come with cases heard in metropolitan and state forums.

Ms. Kim maintains bar memberships in the District of Columbia, Virginia and Maryland. Those admissions allow her to file and argue matters across the DMV area. She is also active in local bar communities, holding memberships in the Howard County Bar Association, the Fairfax Bar Association and the Maryland State Bar Association. Participation in these groups keeps her connected to developments in local court procedures and bar programs.

Her national and specialty affiliations include membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association. That association brings together practitioners who handle visa petitions, removal defense, humanitarian applications and related administrative proceedings. Membership in the A. Sherman Christensen American Inn of Court signals an interest in collegial study of legal ethics and advocacy technique. Together these memberships indicate a professional orientation toward immigration-related practice and toward continuing legal education.

Colleagues describe her as attentive to procedural detail and responsive to client deadlines. She balances statutory filings and administrative timelines with client consultations and case preparation. This practical approach shapes how she structures client intake, document collection and litigation strategy.

Outside her casework, Ms. Kim’s bar involvement places her in regular contact with judges, clerks and fellow practitioners across county and federal courts. That network helps when coordinating filings and scheduling hearings that span multiple jurisdictions. She continues to expand that network through association meetings and local bar events.

She currently practices at Prosper Law PLLC, handling immigration and related matters across the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia.
