About Mike T.
Mike T. Ramsey built his academic foundation in the humanities before turning to law. He earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Spring Hill College in 2006. That early study in logic and ethics informed the analytical approach he later brought to legal training.
He returned to formal study at the University of Mississippi School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2012. After law school he pursued technical training at Air University, completing an A.A.S. in Avionic System Technology in 2013. The combination of legal education and technical coursework is an uncommon mix for a practicing lawyer and helps him translate technical details for clients and courts when cases require it.
Ramsey practices in Mississippi. He is part of the firm Sheehan & Ramsey, PLLC, where he handles matters that arise in state courts and bankruptcy proceedings. His work at the firm has involved advising individuals about debt relief options, preparing filings, and representing clients at hearings. He approaches each matter by breaking down complex issues into manageable steps and explaining choices in plain language.
His courtroom work includes appearances in bankruptcy court and related adversary proceedings. He has experience drafting pleadings, negotiating with creditors, and managing the procedural requirements that come with consumer bankruptcy cases. In contested matters he seeks practical resolutions that aim to address a client’s immediate financial challenges while complying with court rules.
Outside the office he maintains ties to the community of consumer bankruptcy practitioners. He has been a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Lawyers since 2015. That membership keeps him connected to developments in consumer bankruptcy law and provides access to continuing education and practice resources.
Colleagues describe Ramsey as methodical and direct in his work. He uses his background in philosophy and technical training to parse facts and present them clearly to clients and judges. He continues to practice at Sheehan & Ramsey, PLLC in Mississippi, where his current work focuses on consumer bankruptcy and related debtor representation.
