About Mickey
Mickey Keenan took a conventional path into law but followed it in his own way. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Florida in 2000 and graduated from the University of Florida College of Law in 2003. Those years set the foundation for a steady legal career in Florida.
Before law school he entered the U.S. Army Reserves. He joined the reserves in 1995 and is a veteran. The military experience appears as a recurring theme in the way he approaches work: methodical, regimented, and practical.
After earning his J.D., he began practice in 2003 as an associate at Gallagher & Howard, P.A. He spent the early years learning litigation and client management at that firm. Colleagues from that period describe him as the sort of lawyer who prefers clear, direct advice to flourish.
In 2006 he rose to partner at Gallagher & Keenan, P.A. The promotion came just three years after he started as an associate. He continued at that firm through the next phase of his career and then launched Mickey Keenan, P.A. in 2014. Leading his own firm gave him control over case selection and office operations.
Beyond firm titles, Keenan has remained active in the legal community. He maintains memberships in professional organizations and attends continuing education programs to stay current on changes in Florida law. He is admitted to practice in Florida and has spent his career serving clients in that jurisdiction.
He has combined military discipline with civilian legal practice for more than two decades. That combination informs how he runs his office and handles matters. He currently operates Mickey Keenan, P.A., where he represents clients across Florida. His current practice focuses on serving clients in Florida.
