About Michelle

Michelle Becker built a career that crosses corporate sales, nonprofit advocacy and private practice. She began her academic path at the University of California, Irvine, where she earned a B.A. in economics in 1991. She later completed an MBA in strategic management at Claremont Graduate University in 1997 and earned a J.D. from Concord Law School in 2010. Those degrees mark a steady progression from business into law.

Her early career was rooted in sales and operations. In the 1990s she held roles in hospitality and consumer goods, working as a sales assistant at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts and later as a unit manager at Philip Morris USA/Altria. In 1999 she moved into regional sales and business development positions, serving as Director of Sales for the Western Region at Pharmavite and as a business development manager at Zacky Farms. That commercial background shaped an understanding of organizational needs and client service.

By 2005 Becker was working as a child advocate. That work introduced her to the legal and administrative systems that affect families and children. She shifted careers formally after law school and, in 2013, began practicing under the Law Office of Michelle Becker. Since then she has practiced in California and maintained membership in several professional organizations, including the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Counsel of Parent Lawyers and Advocates.

Becker’s professional profile reflects a mix of business training and hands-on advocacy. The combination of an MBA and a law degree positions her to handle cases that require both legal analysis and an appreciation of institutional dynamics. Her prior roles in sales and management also inform how she communicates with clients and opposing counsel, preferring direct exchange and practical solutions over legal theory alone.

Colleagues and clients describe her approach as pragmatic. She tends to take on matters that intersect family concerns and educational or administrative processes. In court or at hearings she draws on experience gained from years representing parents and children outside traditional litigation settings, applying that background to administrative advocacy and negotiated resolutions.

She continues to practice in California through the Law Office of Michelle Becker. Her current practice centers on representation of parents and children in family- and education-related matters in California.
