About Joseph Hyunsung
Joseph Hyunsung Lee earned his B.A. in history and political science from Boston College in 1992 and a J.D. from Seton Hall University School of Law in 1999. He moved from undergraduate study into law school in the 1990s. The formal training set the groundwork for a career that has combined practice at law firms, leadership roles in community organizations, and work inside faith-based institutions.
He began a series of legal partnerships and firm roles in the 2010s. In 2011 he served as a partner at the Law Offices of Lee and Baghoomian, P.C. Four years later he became principal of Lee & Green, PC in 2015. The next year brought another change in title and structure when he took a partner role at Lee, Green, Stewart & Paul Lawyers at Law in 2016. Earlier in his professional life, in 2006, he served as administrator of schools (superintendent) for Southlands Christian Schools and also helped plant Vineyard Christian Fellowship of Pasadena, serving as a pastor.
Lee is admitted to practice in New York, California and New Jersey. He has combined bar and civic involvement throughout his career. Since 2012 he has held memberships in the Pasadena Bar Association, the Korean American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the American Bar Association, and he is listed as a member of the Christian Legal Society. His board service includes roles at Center4SpecialNeeds and Pasadena Child Development Associates beginning in 2012. In 2014 he joined the boards of Home of Angels and the Vineyard Community Church of Pomona Claremont, and he is listed as a provisional member of the Pasadena Tournament of Roses. He has also served as a volunteer lawyer for Christian Legal Aid of Los Angeles.
His career shows movement between institutional leadership, religious community work and private practice. He has held partner and principal titles in several small and mid-sized firms and taken on nonprofit governance roles in Pasadena and the surrounding region. He currently practices from the Law Office Of Joseph Lee. He maintains an active practice across New York, California and New Jersey from the Law Office Of Joseph Lee.
