About Michael Ryan
Michael Ryan Null began his academic life at the University of Texas at Austin, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Economics in 2016. He went on to earn his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 2021. Those years combined a classroom grounding in economic analysis with legal training that emphasized procedure and advocacy.
While in law school he spent a summer as a judicial intern for the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas. That placement put him inside the federal courthouse and gave him direct exposure to motion practice, courtroom scheduling and the daily mechanics of federal civil litigation.
After law school, Null moved into private practice. He worked at Bryson Law Office, LLC in 2021, then joined Houssiere, Durant & Houssiere, LLP in 2022. In 2023 he began his current role at Morrow & Sheppard LLP. Those successive positions at small and mid-sized firms offered frequent client contact and regular opportunities to draft pleadings, appear in hearings and manage case files.
Null is admitted to practice in Texas and Colorado. He added a membership in the Colorado Bar Association in 2024. His background includes both trial-court exposure from his judicial internship and hands-on responsibilities from his firm work. He has experience preparing court documents, conducting legal research and participating in courtroom proceedings.
Colleagues and supervising attorneys have assigned him tasks that require attention to procedural detail and deadline management. He has repeatedly worked on matters that demand coordination between clients, opposing counsel and court staff. Those experiences have shaped how he approaches case preparation and client communications.
Outside the courtroom, his training in economics informs a practical approach to client issues that involve financial analysis or damage assessment. The combination of economic study and federal court experience gives him a perspective on how legal outcomes can intersect with monetary and business concerns.
He practices in both Texas and Colorado and has handled matters in federal and state court settings. He is currently an attorney at Morrow & Sheppard LLP, where his practice addresses the kinds of litigation and court work he has performed since graduating law school. He currently focuses his practice on matters arising in Texas and Colorado courts.
