About Michael Robert

Michael Robert Rivers earned his law degree from the University of Dayton School of Law in 1999 after completing a Bachelor of Science at the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1996. He moved into legal practice at the turn of the century and has since maintained a multi-jurisdictional license. His academic background provided the foundation for a career that has crossed state lines and practice settings.

Early in his career he served as a lawyer at the Department of Public Advocacy for the Commonwealth of Kentucky in 2000. That role placed him inside a public-sector legal office during the first years of his practice. He later joined private practice and, in 2010, worked as a lawyer at Rybak Metzler & Grasso, PLLC. Those positions mark two distinct phases of his professional life: time in government service followed by work in private law firms.

Rivers holds admission in Kentucky, New York and Washington. He has built experience across those jurisdictions through the diverse roles he has held. Over the years he has moved between public and private settings, and his record shows practice in more than one state court system. Colleagues and clients encounter a lawyer who has navigated different institutional environments and state bar requirements.

Today he is associated with Washington Family Law Group. He practices family law there and handles matters arising in that field. His current work is based in Washington, where the firm is located and where he carries out his legal practice. He continues to work on family law matters in the state of Washington and related jurisdictions as part of his present practice focus.
