About Michael Lee
Michael Lee Matuska is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in both Nevada and California. He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 1994 and to the State Bar of Nevada in 1995. His license status is currently active. Mr. Matuska is the owner of Matuska Law Offices, Ltd., a law firm located at 2310 S. Carson St. Ste 6, Carson City, NV 89701-4529. He has been practicing law for over 30 years, serving clients throughout Northern Nevada and California.
Mr. Matuska earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law in 1994. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Davis, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics in 1989. During his time at UC Davis School of Law, he was actively involved in various legal organizations and gained practical experience through internships and clerkships.
Mr. Matuska's practice areas include commercial litigation, corporate law, real estate law, construction law, and alternative dispute resolution. He represents clients in matters involving business disputes, real estate transactions, construction contracts, and community association governance. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Matuska has handled cases in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada, the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He has also appeared before the Nevada Supreme Court and the California Supreme Court. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at the Law Offices of Daniel R. Walsh, P.C. in Carson City and later became a partner at the Douglas County-based law firm Brook Shaw Zumpf.
Mr. Matuska is a certified mediator, arbitrator, and referee. He is a member of the Real Estate Section of the Nevada State Bar Association and has been recognized as a leading expert in Common-Interest Community Law in Northern Nevada.
