About Michael
Michael Kruszewski earned his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law in 2003 after completing a B.A. at Miami University of Ohio in 1999. He entered the profession at a time of change in the legal market. Early experiences at law school and during his first years in practice shaped how he works with clients.
He became a shareholder at Quinn Law Office in 2003. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and the District of Columbia. He also holds admissions in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the same district. Those court credentials inform much of the work he accepts.
Kruszewski’s practice includes bankruptcy matters and litigation that arises around insolvency and debt resolution. He is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute, a connection he has maintained since 2004. He also belongs to the Erie County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania State Bar. His memberships reflect ongoing engagement with the procedural and policy issues that affect creditors, debtors and local courts.
Pro bono and community work figure into his calendar. Since 2003 he has volunteered through the Legal Aid Volunteer Lawyers Program. He is a member of the Autism Society–Northwestern Pennsylvania and serves as a volunteer for the McDowell High School softball boosters. Those activities sit alongside his courtroom and transactional work and give him regular contact with nonprofit and family-oriented concerns.
Colleagues describe his approach as thorough and practical. He seeks to identify options early in a case and to present them in plain terms to clients. In bankruptcy matters that can mean weighing reorganization against liquidation or assessing the rights of secured and unsecured creditors. In federal court he has experience managing procedural requirements and briefing dispositive issues.
Over two decades at the same firm have made him a familiar presence in local legal circles. He continues to work from Quinn Law Office, where he handles both contested and noncontested matters that arise in state and federal forums. His current practice focuses on bankruptcy and related litigation matters.
