Michael Kielsky is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in both Arizona and California. He was admitted to the State Bar of Arizona in 2006 and to the State Bar of California in 2005. His license status in both states is active. Mr. Kielsky is a partner at Udall Shumway PLC, a law firm located in Mesa, Arizona. He has been practicing law for over 20 years, serving clients throughout Arizona and California.

Mr. Kielsky earned his Juris Doctor degree from the Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California, graduating summa cum laude in 2001. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science in 1984. During his time at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, he was a member of the Law Review and participated in various legal internships.

Mr. Kielsky concentrates his practice in the areas of criminal defense, DUI defense, and traffic violations, including photo radar cases. He represents individuals in matters involving criminal charges, DUI offenses, and traffic tickets. His practice encompasses all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.

Throughout his career, Mr. Kielsky has handled cases in the Superior Court of Arizona, the United States District Court for the District of Arizona, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal. Prior to joining Udall Shumway PLC in 2016, he was a partner at Kielsky Rike PLLC from 2011 to 2016 and at Kielsky, Rike & Elgart, PLLC from 2009 to 2010. He also served as General Counsel for BetterThanYours.com from 2006 to 2015.

Mr. Kielsky is an active member of several professional organizations, including the East Valley Bar Association, where he has served as President since 2016 and as Vice President from 2011 to 2014. He is also a member of the Maricopa County Bar Association, serving on its Board from 2012 to 2018 and as Treasurer in 2020 and Secretary in 2019. Additionally, he is a member of the State Bar of Arizona and the State Bar of California. He has been a certified Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presenter since 2014. Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Kielsky has been involved in various community activities, including serving on the Glendale Judicial Advisory Board from 2019 to 2022 and the Avondale Judicial Advisory Board from 2019 to 2021. He has also been active in politics, serving as Chairman of the Arizona Libertarian Party from 2005 to 2010 and from 2015 to 2017, and as a candidate for Maricopa County Attorney in 2008, 2010, and 2012.
