About Austin
Austin Wulf built his legal foundation in the Midwest. He earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Creighton University in 2017 and completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Oklahoma College of Law in 2021. That academic path put him on a quick trajectory into courtroom and regulatory work.
Fresh out of law school, he took a position as a law clerk at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission in 2021. The role exposed him to administrative proceedings and regulatory decision-making. It also offered regular contact with written opinions and the procedural side of public agency work.
In 2022 he moved into private practice as an associate at Vriezelaar, Tigges, Edgington, Bottaro, Boden & Lessmann, L.L.P. That year marked his formal membership in both the Nebraska State Bar Association and the Iowa State Bar Association. He spent the following year, 2023, as an associate at Tigges, Bottaro, & Lessmann, LLP, continuing to build courtroom experience and client-facing skills.
Wulf is admitted to practice in Nebraska and Iowa. He is also admitted in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Iowa. Those federal admissions mean he appears in both district and bankruptcy forums, in addition to handling matters in state courts.
His career follows a steady arc from public service into private litigation and court practice. He transitioned from agency work into law firm roles where daily tasks included drafting motions, preparing briefs, and participating in hearings. Colleagues note that he moved through these roles on a practical timetable, taking on more responsibility each year.
Today he is based at Maxwell & Morgan. At the firm he works on cases that require appearances across Nebraska and Iowa and in the federal courts where he holds admission. His background at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission and subsequent firm work informs how he approaches procedural issues and case preparation.
Outside of court filings and client meetings, Wulf maintains active memberships in the Nebraska and Iowa bar associations that he joined in 2022. Those memberships keep him connected to local practice developments and continuing legal education opportunities. His current practice includes litigation and bankruptcy matters at Maxwell & Morgan.
