About Michael F.
Michael F. Myers graduated from Rutgers School of Law–Camden in 2010 after earning a bachelor’s degree in political science and finance from Providence College in 2005. His academic path mixed classroom study and practical internships. While an undergraduate he interned at Smith Barney in 2003. During and after law school he took research and public-interest positions that shaped his early legal thinking.
Myers’s first post-law-school role was at the Office of the Lawyer General in New Jersey in 2010. That position placed him inside state government legal work early in his career. He followed that role with a senior associate position at Jacobs & Barbone, P.A., beginning in 2011. Those years included courtroom work and case preparation across state matters. He also served as a constitutional law teacher at Camden High School in 2009 and completed public defender internships in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, and in New Orleans, Louisiana, while still a student.
In 2016 Myers opened his own practice, The Law Office of Michael F. Myers. He has maintained memberships in several professional organizations over the years. He belongs to the American Bar Association and the New Jersey State Bar Association since 2010. He has been a member of the Atlantic County Bar Association since 2011. Since 2016 he has held membership in both the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the New Jersey Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those affiliations reflect his ongoing engagement with criminal defense networks and continuing legal education.
Myers is admitted to practice in New Jersey and in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and he is admitted to the Third Circuit. His career shows movement between public service roles and private practice. The early internships exposed him to indigent defense and public-policy research; his government work introduced regulatory and constitutional law matters; his private-practice years emphasized client advocacy and courtroom representation.
Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and straightforward in courtroom presentation. He keeps a local practice profile, handling matters that range from state criminal cases to federal proceedings in New Jersey. He conducts client work from an office offered by appointment and manages caseloads that include trial and appellate filings.
He continues to practice through The Law Office of Michael F. Myers. He practices criminal defense and handles related federal matters.
