About Michael F
Michael F Brown earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and completed his legal education at the University of Wisconsin Law School, receiving a J.D. in 2002. He remained connected to Wisconsin legal circles after law school and built a practice grounded in the state’s courts and business communities.
He is a partner at DVG Law Partner LLC and works from the firm’s offices in Milwaukee and Appleton. In that role he shares responsibility for case strategy, client intake and the coordination of work across the two offices. His position places him in day-to-day contact with clients, opposing counsel and court personnel in both metropolitan and regional settings.
Brown maintains current membership in a professional legal association. He participates in firm matters that require coordination across offices and assists in shaping how the firm serves clients in eastern Wisconsin. His experience spans work inside the courtroom and behind the scenes on transactional and advisory matters handled by the firm.
Colleagues describe his work style as methodical and practical. He approaches matters by identifying the key issues, assessing risks and discussing options with clients. He regularly negotiates settlements, prepares filings and represents clients at hearings when litigation is necessary. The breadth of matters he handles reflects the variety of needs among the firm’s individual and business clients.
Outside of client work he is involved in mentoring associates and helping manage workflow between the Milwaukee and Appleton offices. That management role includes evaluating new matters for the firm and ensuring that cases are staffed appropriately for their complexity and deadlines. He also contributes to internal practice discussions and training efforts.
After nearly a quarter-century since earning his J.D., Brown continues to practice law in Wisconsin. He currently focuses his practice at DVG Law Partner LLC’s Milwaukee and Appleton offices.
