About Christopher R.

Christopher R. Vandeventer returned to Milwaukee to pursue a law degree after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 2012. He earned his J.D. from Marquette University Law School in 2022. Those years on two Wisconsin campuses helped shape his legal outlook and grounded him in the state where he practices.

After law school, Vandeventer joined Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP as an associate lawyer. In that role he has worked alongside experienced trial lawyers and civil litigators at a firm known for handling a range of matters. He contributes to case preparation, legal research and drafting, and works with colleagues in and out of the courtroom to advance client interests.

His academic path placed him in two environments that emphasize different strengths. At the University of Wisconsin–Madison he completed his undergraduate studies, and at Marquette Law School he spent three years immersed in doctrinal courses, clinics and practical skills training. The combination offered both a broad liberal arts foundation and law-school training focused on practical application.

Vandeventer holds active memberships in local professional organizations. He belongs to the Milwaukee Young Lawyers Association and the Milwaukee Bar Association. Those memberships provide regular contact with fellow practitioners, access to continuing education, and opportunities to participate in bar activities across the city and region.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation. He pays close attention to procedure and to the documentation that supports each step of a case. He looks for clear paths through complex filings and works to present information that judges and opposing counsel can follow. He also places value on explaining legal steps to clients in straightforward terms.

As an associate at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP, Vandeventer has continued to refine courtroom practices and client counseling skills. He has participated in motions practice and case strategy meetings and has handled a variety of tasks that support litigation and transactional work within the firm.

He remains based in Wisconsin and participates in the local legal community through bar association activities and firm work. His current practice focuses on serving clients through his role at Gimbel, Reilly, Guerin & Brown, LLP in Wisconsin.
