About Michael Eugene
Michael Eugene Hendricks earned degrees in political science, law and international business over the span of a decade. He received a B.A. in Political Science in 2011, followed by a J.D. in 2013 from the University of New Mexico. He later completed an MBA in International Business from Walden University in 2016. Those credential lines trace a shift from broad public affairs toward the intersection of law and global practice.
Hendricks began his legal work as a law clerk at John W. Lawit, P.C. in 2012. He moved into immigration practice soon after, serving as the managing immigration lawyer for New Mexico at Whittenburg Law Office in 2013. A year later he took on a regional role as Managing Lawyer - Southwest for Beacon Immigration. The early part of his career combined courtroom preparation, client intake, and the administrative demands of running an office.
By 2015 Hendricks was listed as Managing Lawyer at Hendricks Law. That role has anchored his work since, including oversight of the firm’s main office. His resume shows steady movement into management roles, running teams and shaping case strategy. Colleagues and clients have cited that same trajectory: a practitioner who moved quickly from clerkship to managerial posts.
Awards and recognitions punctuate his resume. In 2017 he was named a Distinguished Lawyer by Expert Network and recognized as one of the Top 40 Lawyers Under 40 by the American Society of Legal Advocates. He has also been noted for client service by the American Institute of Legal Counsel, receiving a two-year Exceptional and Outstanding Client Services distinction from its 10 Best program. Professionally he holds membership in the American Immigration Lawyers Association, a credential carried since 2014 that connects him to national practice updates and local policy discussions.
Hendricks is admitted to practice in New Mexico and continues to handle immigration matters for individuals and organizations. He combines litigation readiness with the administrative duties of running a law office, managing case files and supervising staff at Hendricks Law’s main office. His current practice focuses on immigration law and related administrative proceedings in New Mexico.
