About Michael E.
Michael E. Manely has spent more than three decades practicing law in Georgia. He earned both a J.D. and a B.A. from Georgia State University College of Law and began his legal career in the late 1980s. His record shows steady movement from associate roles into solo and firm-based practice.
After graduating, Manely joined McKenzie and Mcphail as an associate in 1989. The following year he took on senior-level responsibilities, practicing as Michael E. Manely, Lawyer at Law. In 2003 he founded The Manely Firm, PC. The firm’s launch marked a transition to managing a multi-office practice and overseeing younger attorneys.
Manely has long been admitted to practice in Georgia. He has been a member of the State Bar of Georgia since 1989, and his credentials include admission to the 11th Circuit and to the U.S. Supreme Court. He has also maintained a steady presence in local and national bar organizations. Records show membership in the Cobb County Bar Association since 2003 and affiliation with the American Bar Association beginning in 2012 and continuing to the present.
His professional associations extend beyond the bar. Manely has been involved with the International Society of Family Law; membership listings include a period from 2009 to 2011 and a current affiliation. He holds membership in the Marietta Business Association and the Cobb County Bar Association, and he serves as an organizer for the Georgia State University College of Law Alumni Association. That mix of civic, alumni and legal group activity has kept him connected to both community and professional networks in the state.
The Manely Firm maintains offices across Georgia. He oversees or is associated with locations in Atlanta, Marietta, Columbus, Savannah, Lawrenceville and Forsyth. The multi-office footprint allows him to handle matters across the region and to meet clients in several communities.
Colleagues and court records show a practice shaped by long-term local experience and by involvement in family law circles. He continues to accept matters from multiple jurisdictions and appears in federal and state courts. Manely currently practices family law from his Georgia offices.
