About Michael Dennis
Michael Dennis Collins earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles in 1993. He completed his legal studies at a time when the profession was adapting to new technologies and shifting practice norms. That education provided the foundation for a career that spans multiple state bars.
After law school, Collins secured admission to practice in California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Those credentials have allowed him to advise clients whose matters cross state lines. He has worked on matters that required familiarity with differing procedural rules and statutory frameworks, bringing a practical command of jurisdictional nuances to each file.
Columbia’s legal training informed his approach to problem solving. He favors clear analysis and precise writing. He tends to break complex issues into discrete questions. Colleagues describe him as methodical in his preparation, and clients have found the clarity useful when cases moved between courts in different states.
Over the years Collins has handled litigation, regulatory matters and transactional work that touch several jurisdictions. He has experience preparing pleadings, drafting motions and counseling clients on licensing and compliance questions where state law diverges. His admissions in California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania mean he can accept engagements that would otherwise require co-counsel or special admissions.
Outside the courtroom he has been involved in continuing legal education and professional development forums. He has lectured for small groups and contributed to panels addressing multi-state practice challenges. Those activities reflect an interest in the practical side of lawyering—how to manage cases across borders, how to streamline filings, and how to coordinate strategy among counsel in different states.
Collins maintains an active law practice, advising businesses and individuals on matters that implicate the laws of the states where he is admitted. He currently concentrates on matters involving the laws of California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
