About Michael David
Michael David Raysor built his legal path around two broad interests: law and business. He combined those interests in graduate school and left with both a J.D. and an M.B.A. He began his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Berkeley, reading Economics and History, and graduated in 2002. He completed his J.D. and M.B.A. at Golden Gate University in 2008.
That dual degree shaped the first decade of Raysor’s career. After finishing law school he opened a practice bearing his own name, the Law Offices of Michael D. Raysor, and has been listed there as a lawyer since 2008. Setting up a solo practice allowed him to manage both the legal and the business sides of a small firm. It also meant he handled the administrative work that larger firms usually assign to staff. Over time he has combined casework with client management and the daily requirements of running an office.
Raysor’s professional memberships reflect a steady involvement in local and state legal organizations. He has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2008 and joined the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2009, where his membership remains current. Those affiliations place him in a professional community that handles a wide range of legal matters across the region.
He is authorized to practice in California and is admitted to the Federal Circuit. That combination allows him to address matters in state courts and to pursue appeals and other matters that fall within the Federal Circuit’s jurisdiction. The dual admission aligns with the practice he maintains at his firm, where he takes on matters that require state-level representation as well as federal appellate work.
Colleagues describe Raysor as methodical in his approach. He tends to emphasize careful preparation and direct communication with clients. His practice style is straightforward: evaluate the facts, explain the options, and proceed in a manner that fits the client’s goals. He has maintained a solo or small-office practice since 2008 and continues to operate under the name he established after law school.
He balances legal work with the practical responsibilities of running a small firm. That mix has shaped how he serves clients and how he allocates his time between litigation, research, and office management. He concentrates his practice on matters in federal and state courts, including work before the Federal Circuit and in California courts.
