About Michael D.
Michael D. DiCindio earned his law degree from Widener University Delaware School of Law, receiving his J.D. in 2010. He came to the law after an undergraduate course of study that prepared him for courtroom work and public service. His legal training included hands-on experience in a county prosecutor’s office while he was still a student.
He began his post-law school career in the Chester County District Attorney’s Office as a certified legal intern in 2010. The following year he returned to that office as an assistant district lawyer, handling prosecutions and learning the mechanics of trials, motions practice and plea negotiations. Those early years in the prosecutor’s office gave him steady courtroom time and a close view of case preparation under pressure.
By 2014 DiCindio moved into private practice. He spent part of that year as an associate at The Law Offices of Michael T. van der Veen, taking on litigation matters and expanding his trial exposure in both state and federal matters. Later in 2014 he opened his own firm, DiCindio Law, LLC, where he serves as owner and sole member. Running a small firm shifted responsibilities from casework to firm management, client intake and strategic decision-making.
Licensing in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey allows him to practice across state lines. He has been active in local and state bar organizations. He joined the Chester County Bar Association in 2013 and has maintained that membership. Since 2014 he has been involved with the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He was also a member of the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association during 2014.
Colleagues describe DiCindio as someone who learned early that courtroom experience matters. His work reflects the kind of steady trial practice that grows out of years handling cases from initial charging through disposition. He has experience on both sides of criminal cases, which informs how he approaches investigation, evidence and witness preparation.
Today he practices from DiCindio Law, LLC. He represents clients in matters across his admitted jurisdictions and maintains an active litigation practice that emphasizes criminal defense and trial work.
