Michael Corey Bock is a licensed attorney admitted to practice law in the State of California. He was admitted to the California State Bar in 2002. His license is currently in active status. Mr. Bock is a co-founder and partner at Bock & Plummer, Attorneys at Law, a civil litigation firm based in Southern California. The firm's office is located at 2901 W. Mr. Bock earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, where he graduated in 2002. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Berkeley, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in 1999. During his time at UC Berkeley, he was actively involved in mock trial competitions, earning recognition as the Outstanding Attorney for all of Southern California during his high school years at El Toro High School.
Mr. Bock concentrates his practice in the areas of business and corporate law, probate litigation, labor law, and general civil litigation. He represents individuals and businesses in matters involving business contracts, trade secrets, indemnity provisions, employee handbooks, and intellectual property clauses. His probate litigation practice addresses disputes over trusts, wills, and other estate matters. In labor law, he assists clients with issues related to unpaid wages, wrongful termination, and employer misconduct. His general civil litigation practice encompasses business disputes, breach of contract, and fraud cases. His practice involves all stages of litigation, including initial case evaluation, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and trial proceedings in both state and federal courts.
Throughout his career, Mr. Bock has handled cases in the Superior Court of California for the County of Orange, the United States District Court for the Central District of California, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. He has also appeared before the California Court of Appeal on multiple occasions. Prior to founding Bock & Plummer, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Southern California for several years.
Mr. Bock is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program. Mr. Bock is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to serve the diverse communities of Southern California effectively.
