Michael Catalanotto built a foundation in numbers before he turned to law. He earned a B.S. in accounting from Salisbury University in 2001 and added an MBA there the following year. He then completed a J.D. at Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center in 2005. Those credentials gave him both business training and legal training early in his career.
He began practicing as an associate at Brettschneider & Brettschneider, LLC in 2005. The role placed him in a small firm environment at the start of his legal career. Two years later he opened his own firm, establishing The Law Offices of Michael Catalanotto, PC in 2007. That move shifted him from employee to principal and owner.
Catalanotto is licensed to practice in New York and Connecticut. He has held membership in professional legal associations since 2006. Those affiliations have run alongside his private practice work and his handling of client matters across state lines.
His training in accounting and business informs how he approaches cases. He brings financial literacy to client problems and uses it to evaluate transactions and documents.
