About Michael
Michael Cashman built a foundation that crosses military training, business study and legal education. He attended the United States Military Academy, moved on to the University of South Carolina Moore School of Business, and completed his law degree at the University of Minnesota Law School. His early legal career included a position as an associate at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP. There he worked on matters alongside senior lawyers and learned the rhythms of a large regional firm. Cashman is admitted to practice in seven states: Minnesota, Hawaii, North Carolina, Georgia, South Carolina, California and Missouri. That multi-jurisdictional admission set is unusual. After his time at Nelson Mullins, he established Cashman Law LC. The firm serves clients across the states where he is admitted. Outside the office he maintains connections to the legal community in South Carolina through his bar membership. He also draws on his broader educational background when addressing issues that touch on organizational or business concerns. His practice reflects that mix of training and experience.
