About Michael
Michael Campbell built his legal foundation in Missouri classrooms. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Columbia College in 2008. He stayed in Columbia for law school and received his J.D. from the University of Missouri in 2011. Those years left him rooted in the local legal community and prepared him for courtroom practice.
He began his career as an associate at Grimes, Fay and Kopp, LLC in 2011, the same year he completed law school. A move to the Law Office of Matt Uhrig, LLC followed in 2012, where he continued work on litigation matters and courtroom preparation. In 2014 he opened his own firm, Law Office of Mike Campbell, LLC, taking on responsibility for case strategy, client counseling and trial work.
Campbell is licensed to practice in Missouri and admitted to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri. He holds membership in the Boone County Bar Association and is active in statewide and national professional groups, including the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers, the Missouri Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and the American Association of Justice. Those affiliations reflect sustained involvement in trial and defense circles and contact with peers across the state.
His practice developed out of steady courtroom experience gained during his years as an associate and later as a firm principal. He handles pleadings and motion practice, prepares witnesses, and manages pretrial discovery. He is experienced in both the procedural demands of federal filings and the day-to-day requirements of state-court litigation.
Campbell maintains offices in Columbia and Centralia, where he meets clients and attends hearings. He manages a small team at his firm and supervises casework from initial intake through trial or resolution. Colleagues describe him as straightforward in court presentations and thorough in preparation.
Outside the courtroom he has continued engagement with local bar events and professional education offered by trial and defense organizations. That engagement keeps him current on procedural developments and advocacy techniques. He currently concentrates his practice on litigation and criminal defense matters from offices in Columbia and Centralia.
