About Jeffrey K
Jeffrey K Basinger earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri–Kansas City School of Law in 2005. He attended UMKC during a period of shifting legal practice norms and completed his law degree in the mid-2000s. That educational foundation provided the basis for courtroom work and appellate practice that would follow.
After law school, Basinger built a practice centered in Missouri. He is admitted to practice in the State of Missouri and before the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit. Over the years he has worked on matters that required appearances in both trial and appellate settings. He also maintains membership in the Boone County Bar Association, where he participates in local bar activities and collegial exchanges with fellow lawyers.
Basinger’s court admissions shape the way he approaches cases. Admission to the Eighth Circuit allows him to handle federal appeals arising out of several states in the region, while his Missouri bar status covers trial-level and state appellate matters within Missouri. His experience covers courtroom procedure, briefing appellate issues, and managing the practical demands of litigation. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparing records and attentive to the procedural steps that determine whether an appeal can proceed.
He is currently an attorney at Cline, Braddock & Basinger LLC. At the firm he represents clients in matters that require state and federal court work, including appellate filings. His day-to-day practice includes drafting briefs, arguing motions, and coordinating discovery and trial preparation when cases proceed at the trial level. He balances the immediate demands of litigation with the longer timelines of appeals.
Outside formal court appearances, Basinger participates in bar association activities at the county level, a venue where lawyers exchange practical guidance and discuss developments in Missouri practice. That engagement keeps him connected to local procedural trends and the issues that affect clients in the region.
As of 2026 he continues to practice law in Missouri and before the Eighth Circuit. His current practice focuses on representing clients in state and federal matters, including appellate work.
