About Michael C.

Michael C. McClure trained across several fields before settling into private practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Spanish from Southern Utah University and went on to complete a Master of Science in Security Management at Bellevue University. He later obtained a Juris Doctor from Washburn University School of Law and an LL.M. from the University of Georgia School of Law with an emphasis in international business. Those educational choices reflect an interest in the overlap of law, security and commerce.

His early career took shape in smaller firms. He joined Angstman Johnson as an associate in 2011, where he handled a range of transactional and regulatory matters. In 2016 he moved to Brian Webb Legal and took on the role of senior lawyer. That change placed him in a position with greater responsibility for case strategy, client counseling and supervising more junior attorneys.

McClure’s background combines courtroom-adjacent training and business-oriented legal study. The criminal justice undergraduate work informs an attention to procedure. The security management degree brings an operational lens to compliance questions. His law degrees emphasize business and transactional law, and the LL.M. added an international angle. Together, those elements shape how he approaches disputes and contracts: detail-minded, attentive to regulatory consequences and mindful of cross-border implications.

He is licensed to practice in Idaho and has built a practice around commercial matters and regulatory issues that touch on security and international business. Colleagues describe him as methodical in document review and pragmatic in negotiation. In practice he has taken on drafting and negotiating contracts, counseling clients on compliance matters and helping small- to mid-size enterprises resolve transactional disputes.

At Brian Webb Legal McClure handles a mix of transactional work and compliance counseling for local and regional clients. He supervises case preparation and works directly with business owners on contract terms and risk allocation. His clients tend to be businesses facing practical choices about contracts, regulatory compliance and cross-border dealings. He maintains an active role at the firm where he continues to practice in these areas of business, regulatory and international transactional law.
