About Michael
Michael Bomstein studied philosophy at the State University of New York at Binghamton before turning to the law. He earned his Juris Doctor from Temple University Beasley School of Law in 1975. His academic background in philosophy remains a point of reference in how he approaches legal reasoning and case analysis.
He spent much of his professional life practicing in Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in the state courts of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters at both the state and federal levels.
Bomstein has worked as a lawyer at Pinnola & Bomstein. His role there has included representing clients in litigation and in court proceedings across the jurisdictions where he is admitted. He has experience managing case preparation, courtroom advocacy, and the procedural aspects that federal and state litigation often require.
Outside the office, he has been active in Philadelphia’s legal community. He holds membership in the Philadelphia Bar Association. He has been involved with Philadelphia Legal Assistance Corp. since 2000, and he has served as a trustee of Community Legal Services since 2007. These roles have kept him connected to efforts that support legal services and access to representation for lower-income residents.

That approach has informed how he handles interlocutory matters, motions practice, and appellate filings when cases reach higher courts.

He knows the deadlines and requirements that federal court practice demands in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania and at the Third Circuit. He also understands the local practices and rules in Pennsylvania’s trial courts.
He continues to practice at Pinnola & Bomstein. His current work involves representing clients in matters brought in Pennsylvania state courts and in federal courts within the Third Circuit.
