About Michael Alexander

Michael Alexander Tupper graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law with a J.D. in 2003 after completing a B.S. in Political Science at the University of North Florida. He entered the bar year that followed law school and began a public-sector legal career that placed him squarely in matters central to state welfare work. He carried academic training into practical work early and has remained in practice since.

His first post-law school role was at the Department of Children & Families, where he served as a senior lawyer beginning in 2003. There he worked on cases tied to the agency’s responsibilities, including matters related to child welfare and protective services. The role required regular appearances before administrative panels and family courts, handling the kinds of urgent and highly regulated proceedings that define agency practice. The position gave him a steady exposure to courtroom procedure and agency rulemaking.

After a decade in public service, he shifted toward private practice. In 2013 he founded Tupper Law, P.A. The firm is a small practice based in Florida. Building a private practice meant adapting skills learned in government—case preparation, administrative advocacy, and litigation strategy—to meet the needs of individual clients. He manages the day-to-day work of the firm and oversees client files and courtroom preparation.

Tupper’s work over the years has combined litigation and administrative advocacy. He has handled hearings, drafted pleadings, and argued motions in court. He brings to those tasks the procedural familiarity gained at the Department of Children & Families and the practical demands of running a boutique law office. Colleagues and former supervisors have noted his steady presence in court calendars and files, and his practice reflects a measured approach to casework rather than theatrical gestures.

Outside the courtroom he has been involved in the administrative aspects of practice management. Founding and running a firm required building systems for intake, calendaring, and compliance with court deadlines. Those operations inform how he evaluates new matters and allocates resources for ongoing cases.

As a lawyer whose career spans public service and private practice, he has navigated both agency work and client representation. As of 2026 he practices at Tupper Law, P.A., handling legal matters for private clients and continuing to appear in state and administrative proceedings on their behalf.
